Cybercriminals are people who commit cybercrimes. Based on the motivation for committing cybercrimes, cybercriminals can be divided into three categories or types as given below:

  • Cybercriminals who are hungry for recognition
  • Cybercriminals who are not interested in recognition
  • Cybercriminals who are insiders
